Cushion Measuring Guide
How to Measure for Custom Cushions:
- Measure the furniture frame, not your old cushions: Old cushions sag, stretch, and lose shape. Always measure the hard flat surface of the furniture frame where the cushion sits.
- Width: Measure the left-to-right distance. If the frame tapers (e.g. wider at front than back), note both measurements (you will need a trapezoid shape).
- Depth: Measure the front-to-back distance. For seat + back configurations, subtract the thickness of the back cushion from the seat depth so the seat cushion does not overhang the front.
- Thickness: Choose a standard thickness (typical is 3", 4", 5", or 6"). Make sure the height matches your comfortable sitting posture.

Standard High-Resiliency (HR) foam is dense and supportive, perfect for indoor or sheltered outdoor use. However, standard foam absorbs water like a sponge. Reticulated EZ-dri foam has an open-cell mesh structure that allows water to drain straight through, drying in minutes after a storm, making it the ideal choice for exposed outdoor patio areas.
Yes! We offer a "Customer's Own Material" (COM) program. Simply choose the "Customer's Own Material" option during the fabric step of the builder, submit your order, and ship your fabric to our Simi Valley factory. Our design team will cut and sew your fabric to size.
Yes, all of our custom cushions come standard with heavy-duty hidden YKK zippers. You can unzip the cover to remove the foam core for cleaning or fabric spot-washing.
Because custom cushions are cut, sewn, and assembled to your exact shape, length, width, and chosen fabric, we cannot reuse or resell them. Therefore, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds once production has begun. Please double check all measurements before submitting your order.
We allow cancellations or modifications within 24 hours of placing your order. After 24 hours, the order is locked into production and fabrics are cut, meaning cancellations are no longer possible.
To keep shipping rates affordable, custom cushions are often vacuum-compressed and packed in heavy-duty shipping boxes. Once you unbox them, the foam cores will expand back to their original size and thickness within 24 to 48 hours. Wrinkles in the fabric will naturally smooth out as the foam expands.
